Looking for a place to ride your horse in Iowa? Several of the state parks in Iowa provide equestrian trails and facilities. The Union County Saddle Club sponsors organized events at many of these parks. We have a list of parks with information on what they have to offer horse owners looking for a place to ride. The Union County Saddle Club, located in Union County (southwest) Iowa, is a non-profit organization established in 1958 to provide horse owners with various horse-related activities. Some of these activities include trailrides, funshows, and parades. There are also potluck suppers, picnics, and camping for those members of the family who do not ride. All of our club activities are family-oriented. Occasionally, the club holds an over-night trailride in late summer or early fall. This article contains a description of our organization and how you can join.
